Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility Demonstration Garden

The Sunshine Greenery, Inc.  and its subcontractor designers, Marilee Kuhlmann and Pamela Berstler of the Green Gardens Group, Inc. (“G3”), designed the Ocean Friendly Demonstration Garden at the front of the water facility entry.  Hundred of visitor a year come to learn about recycled water and see California appropriate landscaping.

The Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility (ELWRF) is the largest water recycling facility of its kind in the United States and was recognized by the National Water Research Institute in 2002 as one of only six National Centers for Water Treatment Technologies.  The ELWRF is the only treatment facility in the country that produces five different qualities of “designer” or custom-made recycled water that meet the unique needs of West Basin’s municipal, commercial and industrial customers.
