Join us in San Marcos CA, on Saturday, July 23rd for a Landscape Design Seminar. Learn how to replace your lawn with a climate appropriate garden and create your own landscape design. The event is hosted by San Diego County Watershed Protection Program along with it’s partners, Surfrider Foundation, San Diego County Water Authority, City of San Diego, California American Water and the Association of Compost Producers, as part of the San Diego Sustainable Landscapes Program. This three-hour interactive workshop identifies the steps for successfully designing a watershed wise and sustainable landscape – including;

    • Understanding and contouring for rainwater
    • Creating a list of climate appropriate plants
    • Placing plant symbols on a plan using key design principals.

The event is free, but registration is required, as seating is limited. Scroll down and complete the registration below to secure your place in the class.  Each person attending the class must register. A confirmation will be sent with more instructions and parking instructions, if they are necessary.

Bring a 1/4″ scale drawing of your property (a site plan) to this class so you can apply specific ideas to YOUR landscape.

This training is part of a collaborative effort to implement the Sustainable Landscapes Program. The Sustainable Landscapes Program is made possible by a Proposition 84 grant under the Safe Drinking Water, Water Quality and Supply, Flood Control, River and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2006, administered by State of California, Department of Water Resources.
