Garden Maintenance Training provides gardeners with practical information to manage watershed wise landscapes more effectively, including:

  • Prune native and climate-appropriate plants (perennials, shrubs, and trees)
  • Build soil with mulch and compost or remove turf without chemicals
  • Identify leaks and adjusting drip irrigation for proper application around plants
  • Understand the principles of smart controllers
  • Identify rainwater capture areas and keeping them free of debris; cleaning gutters, downspouts and catch basins
  • Maintain any existing lawn with aeration and compost
  • Adjust monthly maintenance schedules and price work more sustainably
  • These workshops are taught in English with Simultaneous Spanish Interpretation
  • Typical length of workshop ranges from 120 -180 Minutes
